4H Youth Development : 4H Camp
It’s time to start making plans to attend summer 4-H Camp in Dawson Springs, KY. You will have four FUN days of meeting new friends, swimming, boating, fishing, learning how to dance, playing sports along with attending various nature and craft classes. Qualified instructors teach and supervise all of the activities. Youth between 9-13 years of age as of January 1st, 2010 are qualified to attend. Boys and girls are housed separately according to age, with at least 1-2 adults and 1-3 teens per cabin. COME ON AND JOIN IN THE FUN!!!
REGISTRATION IS AS FOLLOWS:
Cost is $150 per camper
Registration Deadline is Friday, May 7th

All camp classes (with Horse Class being $10 extra)
- A $50 dollar deposit will reserve a spot for your child at camp with final payment due May 7th. Do not include the $10 Horse Class with your basic camp registration fee. That will be collected later.
- A Parent/Camper Orientation is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. - Thursday, May 27th at the Extension Office. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Additional camp paperwork and camp rules will be presented at that time. Class sign-ups will be done at camp.
- “Teen Counselors” - in a supervisory role must be 16 years of age as of January 1st. “CIT’s” or Counselors in Training”, who are 15 years of age as of January 1st, are still eligible to apply. Primary consideration will be given to those individuals who are currently enrolled in 4-H and/or have attended camp in previous years.
- Adult Counselors – Must be 21 years of age and complete a background check. Qualifying adults are eligible for (1) camp scholarship for their child.
- All Counselors – are required to have 24 hours of training. For applications call (270) 765-4121. Mandatory training is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on May 13th in Ohio County. Transportation will be provided.
